Where Have You Been?
January 28, 2008

Last week we had the priviledge of attending the national  "Childrens Pastors Conference" in Orlando Florida. What a great week we spent with so many dedicated childrens workers from all over the world. It was hard to break away from all our duties here at Liberty but once again I was reminded of the importance of pulling off for awhile and getting some fuel. While there, we were able to hear some great teaching, teach a few classes, and spend some quality time with Karen, Ryan & Beth , Evan Doyle, Carol Anderson and of course LUCY! The weather was great and giving my mind a rest very helpful. The last several years it seems I am finally learning the value of getting away several times yearly. So for some who have wondered why we have not posted any new Blogs lately there is the reason. Talk with you soon!  Pastor T.

"Crying In The Wilderness"
January 15, 2008

Have you ever wondered if anyone was really listening? I know as a Father I used to wonder if my children were really listening and taking to heart anything that was being said. Then as a Pastor the thought has come to me more times then I would like to admit, "Is anyone really listening". Are they getting anything in the pews from the message? Are they gleaning anythng from the council in the office? Are they taking any lessons from a life that is attempting to to be a good example of faithfulness and hopefully Christlikeness? When you are at work, at home, with friends and neighbors do you ever feel like you are just a "Voice Crying In The Wilderness"? Thats what they said about John the Baptist and the Lord Jesus said "None had been born any greater of women then John". So may I encourage you today to keep "Crying in the Wilderness" of your life. You are making a difference even when you think noone is listening! Just keep crying out about the Masters Ways, about His Soon Coming! Praying for each of you today and this week! Pastor B.

What we Believe
January 11, 2008

I love midweek church services. It seems for most attenders there is a more intense desire to grow deeper in their walk with the Lord. The last 2 midweek services we have not had our usual electives and all our adults who were not in Teen ministry or Childrens ministry assembled in the main auditorium as we read over our churches  STATEMENT OF FAITH. It was great to review the foundational truths that we adhere too. Let me encourage each of you to go over these truths and once again commit to believing and behaving them ! Have a great day!  Pastor B.

Serving in the Darkness
January 8, 2008
I love to get to my office real early so I can have time alone with the Lord and time alone to think and meditate. I also like the quiet it provides to work alone a few hours before all the staff and others begin coming in. This morning when I arrived it was still dark out and I was thinking nobody would be around. As I stepped out of my little old 88 ranger truck (thats another story for our blog) I heard a noise and saw another one of our lay people serving the Lord. This person was quietly serving their Lord without any notice of another except the Savior (and this morning for a brief moment their pastor).

When I witnessed this wonderful act I immediately thought of Hebrews 6:10, "For God Is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints and do minister." I wonder how many of us get joy by serving the Lord IN THE DARKNESS? It is wonderful to receive appreciation and on occassion applause from man but our genuine joy is in pleasing the one who died for us!!!!  Let's take a moment today and recommit to serving the Lord even when noone knows but Him! Have a great day and look for those wonderful satisfying moments of ministering to others for Jesus. Pastor B.

Welcome to the Bishir Blog!
January 7, 2008
Many have been asking, "When will Pastor begin blogging?" Well get ready, here we go! I was checking into our new website and noticed that the last 30 days we have had 5,883 visitors that have been to Libertyfamily.org.  That is amazing to me! As I was thinking on that it occurred to me that this is one more avenue that we can stay in contact with all of you and it will give us another way to influence for right.

How have you been doing with your INFLUENCE? For many they are only influenced and never influence others. Now there is nothing wrong with being influenced. We should allow others who walk with God and know the truth to influence us. We should also be busy influencing as many as possible with the truth of God's Word and ways. I am looking forward to sharing as often as possible what is on my heart and mind and hope you stop in often to see what is being said. I hope it helps you grow and think! Check back often as I will try to BLOG as often as possible!  Pastor B.
