Dear Liberty Family,
Easter is NOT Canceled
On Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday, we will celebrate our Lord’s death and resurrection! And we will do so by living and giving by faith. During this time of great difficulty and uncertainty the church must march forward. The gospel must go forth in mighty power. Throughout history, difficult times have shown to be great opportunities for Christ to use His church as we live and give by faith.
Although most local churches have been unable to gather together, we have been able to scatter together. During this time, the church has been active in its mission, and part of that activity is to prepare for the future, so the church will move forward like never before when this crisis ends.
It is yet unsure if we will be able to meet together on Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday 2020. We are certainly praying for that possibility. But if we are unable to gather together, we are still able to give together. We will still be celebrating our Lord’s payment for sin on the cross and His victory over death in His resurrection.
We are able to celebrate our ability to live by faith because He lives in us. We will be able to give by faith because He gave His life for us! Yes, Easter 2020 is NOT canceled. Part of Liberty Baptist Church’s celebration will include our Easter Offering.
This Easter season we are leading our congregation to give a special financial gift over and beyond your regular tithes and offerings. This special gift can be designated in several areas.
First = Villa Baptist Church - Indy Building Renovation
Second = Liberty Pastoral Internship Training Third = Liberty’s Main Entry Renovation
As we pray and consider special financial giving, may we remind ourselves of the following.
1. Our giving is an act of faith!
2. Our giving is a source of joy!
3. Our giving is a demonstration of love! 4. Our giving is a part of worship!
(2 Corinthians 9:6-8, Genesis 14:20)
