How I came into relationship with Jesus Christ.
I was a young child, growing up in a pastor's home. Our church had a guest evangelist speak and he came to our home after the Sunday evening service. I remember asking my parents if I could receive Christ into my life. We knelt beside my parent's bed and I prayed for forgiveness and trusted Christ as my Savior. This visiting pastor was R.J. Zehr, who was a wonderful mentor to my father. At the age of 12, I totally committed my life to Jesus and have loved and served Him since then How I came to Liberty Baptist. Liberty Baptist was in need of a new pastor in the spring of 1987. My husband, Terry Bishir, began to help at Liberty, while also still being an assistant pastor at Union Chapel Baptist on the other side of the county. We continued serving at both locations until we made the total commitment to Liberty a couple of years later. What I do at Liberty Baptist.
