How I came into relationship with Jesus Christ.
I grew up in a Christian home and attended a Bible believing church for as long as I can remember. I made a profession of faith at a young age, but struggled with assurance of salvation during my teen years. I gained assurance of salvation and felt the call to Christian ministry in high school. Looking back, it's hard to pinpoint exactly when I was saved, but I know that I trusted in Christ and I continue to trust in Christ for salvation. Romans 10:13 says that "whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved," and that includes me!
How I came to Liberty Baptist.
After completing Seminary, I worked at a Rescue Mission in Spartanburg, SC. I lost my job unexpectedly after some job cuts in the organization. Eventually, I completed a year long chaplain training program at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. I finished that program in June of 2019 and moved to the Marion area to become the chaplain for Heartland Hospice in July of 2019. I started attending Liberty right after I moved and I've never left!
What I do at Liberty Baptist.
I serve as an assistant pastor and I work with the Forerunners ministry (55+) and oversee hospital and shut in visitation. I teach the Berean Fellowship Class and help with preaching, counseling, and planning.
Why I do what I do.
I've felt the call of God to ministry since high school and I want to be faithful to God's call. I want to exalt and glorify God and be His instrument to evangelize, disciple, and equip the saints to do the work of ministry.
