How I came into relationship with Jesus Christ.
My parents were divorced and my brother lived with my dad. While visiting them my brother shared the gospel with me and I accepted Christ as my Savior. It was the first time I had ever heard a clear presentation of the gospel. God opened my heart and drew me to Himself!
How I came to Liberty Baptist.
I had known and ministered with Pastor Bishir since the mid-70s. When Pastor Rickner resigned from Union Chapel where I was attending at the time, the Lord directed I and my family to Liberty. We already had relationships with many who were attending when we arrived.
What I do at Liberty Baptist.
I am an assistant Pastor. As such, I may be called upon to fulfill any demands of ministry. I primarily minister through worship, I direct the choir, oversee “The Community, Young Professionals” although Mark and Brittany carry the greater load in this ministry and for whom I am immensely thankful, I teach the Word in various venues and try to minister to those who are hurting through visitation and counseling.
Why I do what I do.
Primarily because of the call of God on my life. I do what I do in the power of His might. I love the ministry and have since I was eighteen years old. I have always found a place to serve as a lay volunteer or as someone with the privilege of being in full time vocational ministry.
