Adult Sunday School Classes

Overcomer's Class

overcomers This class is a group of saints who have overcome many years through the strength that God provides, so many of us are seniors in the faith. We work at building deep friendships as we sing together, fellowship, study the Bible and pray together. Not to mention hot breakfast!

Fellowship Class

Fellowship and prayer are the cornerstones of this class. With discussion-oriented teaching, you will leave each class encouraged and challenged in your walk with Christ.

Berean Fellowship

Come and join this class as they explore God's Word in fellowship together, seeking to grow in discernment and ability to handle the Word of Truth. Our desire is not only to be Berean in our centeredness on Scripture, but holy as we are changed by the power of God's Word. It is a relaxed atmosphere where the Bible is taught often book by book and life experiences are shared.

Purpose-Driven

God created you with a purpose. This class is designed to provide a setting for individuals who enjoy studying the Bible together in a relaxed small group setting.

The Bible class focuses on teaching deep theological truths from the Bible in order to help people critically think in the world around them.

This class is for college-aged students (18-24) who are wanting to go deeper in their understanding of who God is and how He works.

This discussion-based class is for people of all ages and stages of life. This class consists of people who want to study the Bible practically and grow in their walk with God.

Elementary Sunday School Classes

Kindergarten - Room 207 (Teachers: Tracey Brooks & Becky Williams)

Theme: "Jesus, What a Savior"

Our children (like us) are helpless sinners, deserving of God’s eternal wrath. Children need to hear this truth so that they, like us, can turn to the perfect and only remedy—the free gift of salvation through Jesus the Savior! This curriculum presents the material in a way that proclaims the centrality of the greatness and worth of God.

Each lesson in the Kindergarten Sunday School curriculum Jesus, What a Savior! is designed to present the material, including Bible stories, in a way that proclaims the centrality of the greatness and worth of God. This chronological study on redemption focuses on God’s revelation of His Son, Jesus, as the one and only hope for desperate sinners—the good news of the gospel!

1st grade - Room L225 (Teachers: Breanna Elkins & Rebecca Nall)

Theme: "The ABC's of God"

The ABCs of God is a Sunday School curriculum for children on the greatness and worth of God. It uses the alphabet as a framework for learning the attributes of God and other terms that describe His character, at an age-appropriate level. (Note that attributes are purposely not taught in alphabetical order.)

Each lesson asks and answers three key questions, "Who is God?" "What is He like?" and "How should I act toward Him?" as it presents a theology of God for children. Through the use of a teaching aid called “The Blessing Box,” students will discover a new attribute of God each week and will be challenged to consider how they should respond to an amazing God who is worthy of their greatest love, honor, trust, and obedience.

This study for children on the greatness and worth of God uses the alphabet as a framework for learning the attributes of God and other terms that describe His character.

2nd grade - Room L224 (Teachers: Barb Enslen, Chad & Erica Combs)

Theme: "Fatihful to His Promises"

You can help children discover that every promise of God is completely trustworthy because God is faithful. This curriculum offers engaging Bible teaching, rich theology, meaningful illustrations, and interactive questions to teach students not only what God has promised, but also what it means to truly trust Him.

Children will explore God’s promises including:

God will forgive you.
God will be with you.
God will provide for your needs.
God will give you strength.
God will not forsake His people.

As students walk through Scripture—from Abraham and Joseph to David, Elijah, Peter, Paul, and ultimately Jesus Himself—they will see that God always keeps His Word.

More than simply teaching Bible facts, Faithful to All His Promises aims to help children cling to the promises of God in everyday struggles and life’s hardest moments. The promises of God are not merely comforting words, they are life-giving truth.

3rd grade - Room L228 (Teachers: Amie & Lisa Love)

Theme: "In the Beginning...Jesus"

The Bible is one complete true story that progressively reveals God's redemptive plan, which comes to complete fulfillment in the Person and work of Jesus Christ. In the Beginning...Jesus begins with a historical mystery—Jesus' death on the cross—and asks the questions: "What really happened here?" "Why did Jesus die?" and "Who did it?".

To find the answers to these questions, the study goes to the beginning of the Bible narrative in Genesis and then moves chronologically through the Old Testament text as students search for clues that foreshadow the coming of Jesus and His redemptive work on the cross. Special emphasis is given to showing that the Bible is God's story from beginning to end and that Jesus is the key to understanding the story.

The Bible reveals God's redemptive purposes, which find their fulfillment in the Person and work of Jesus. In the Beginning...Jesus takes students through a chronological journey through the Bible, looking for key clues that point to Jesus and His death on the cross.

4th grade - Room L229 (Teacher: Carolyn Armes)

Theme: "To Be Like Jesus"

What is salvation? How does someone become a Christian? What does it mean to become like Jesus? To Be Like Jesus begins by helping students answer these important questions by establishing the foundation of what it means to be created in the image and likeness of God and shows how we have sinned and utterly fallen short of glorifying God as we should. Then, students will learn nine elements of the gospel message, its purpose and its promise. The second half of the curriculum focuses on the doctrine of sanctification—the process by which a Christian becomes more and more conformed to the likeness of Jesus. Students will study 19 specific commands of Scripture that highlight how they can love God most and become more like him such as worshiping God, being merciful, rejoicing in persecution, being a humble servant and serving God with your abilities.

To Be Like Jesus is an essential study to help elementary students understand salvation and sanctification explained through the promise of the gospel.

5th & 6th grades - Room 127 (Teacher: Karen Bishir)

2026-27 Schoolyear Theme: "My Purpose Will Stand"

God is present and active in the world, orchestrating all things to serve His eternal purposes. All His purposes are good and right, and are accomplished with perfection. As the Sovereign Creator of the world (and everything in it!) God has the right, power, wisdom, and righteousness to rule the universe.

The goal of My Purpose Will Stand is to so reveal God and His glorious work of providence that through the Holy Spirit’s work in the teaching of His Word, students would respond to God in faith as they look for God’s providence in all things—meditating on His works, seeing the big picture of God’s work in the world, and seeing the hand and heart of Jesus in all circumstances of their lives.

God is the Sovereign Ruler of the universe, continually at work in His world. My Purpose Will Stand is a Sunday School curriculum on the providence of God.
